Pathways to Growth: Job readiness workshops
Detroit Friendship House’s Pathways to Growth: Job Readiness program helps community members build the skills, confidence, and support needed to take the next step toward employment and long-term stability.
Through one-on-one coaching and small-group support, participants receive help with resumes, job searching, online applications, interview preparation, digital skills, and goal setting.
The program is designed for individuals who may be facing barriers such as limited work history, limited English proficiency, lack of computer access, transportation challenges, or difficulty navigating employment systems.
At DFH, we understand that finding a job is about more than submitting applications.
Many families first come to us for food assistance, and Pathways to Growth creates a bridge from meeting immediate needs to building future opportunity. Our team walks alongside participants as they identify goals, strengthen their skills, and connect with resources that support employment, income stability, and self-sufficiency.
Whether someone is entering the workforce, returning after time away, or looking for a better opportunity, Pathways to Growth provides a welcoming place to begin.
